Shiin Evropisken Facebook Account Disseminated Doctored Video Ostensibly Featuring Zelensky Dancing

Verdict: FAKE NEWS

The Shiin Evropisken Facebook account disseminated a video which ostensibly features the President of Ukraine performing a belly dance. The description of the post reads: “When you elect a clown as a president, this is a result you get!” In fact, the person dancing in the original version of the video is an Argentine dancer.

This doctored video was initially disseminated among the Russian sources and it was verified by FactCheck’s Russian-language section. As a result of verification, it was found out that original version of the video in fact belongs to Argentine dancer, Pablo Acosta (see the photograph).

This dancer often posts belly dance videos on the TikTok platform and his videos have nothing to do with Volodymyr Zelensky or with Ukraine in general.

Therefore, the disseminated video is doctored and aims to discredit the President of Ukraine.
