On 24 February 2022, footage entitled “Russia’s Air Force in Kharkov” which shows the landing of airborne troops, started to circulate through Facebook.

This video does not show present events. The earliest version of the footage that can be found in Facebook dates from 2016 and is entitled “Airborne Troops in Rostov, Russia.”

This video was also circulating through Facebook in 2017, 2018 and 2019. International fact-checking platforms have written about this footage having no connection with ongoing events (link 1, link 2, link 3).
